In today’s Dorik review, we’re diving behind the scenes of an intriguing no-code website builder, designed to make it easier for anyone to get started online.
The technology is relatively new, having only launched in 2020, but it has earned a lot of attention in the CMS and ecommerce space.
I signed up for a free trial of the Dorik site builder to examine its features, functionality, ease of use, and everything the platform can do.

What is Dorik? The Dorik Website Builder
Dorik is an all-in-one website building platform, created to help anyone design attractive, functional websites in minutes, all without design or coding experience. For most would-be website owners, there are two big obstacles to getting started online – price and complexity.
Dorik addresses both of these issues. Not only do you need absolutely no HTML, PHP, or CSS skills, but you can get started on the platform for free. Even the paid plans (which we’ll cover shortly) are extremely reasonable considering all the functionality you get.
The Core Platform Features
Dorik has a few core offerings in its portfolio, intended for different use cases, including:
- White label CMS: Ideal for agencies and creators, the white label CMS allows you to create pages, publish content and blog posts, access SEO tools, and even create membership sites and custom collections in seconds, all with your own branding.
- Dorik website builder: At the heart of the Dorik toolkit, the no-code website builder features drag-and-drop functionality with hundreds of UI blocks and premade templates. It allows anyone to create a blog, portfolio, membership site or ecommerce store (for free!)
- Blogging platform: Dorik includes its own dedicated blogging platform, with built-in SEO tools, post scheduling, images, and importing from other platforms. The editor is extremely easy to use, and even offers the option to create gated content.
- Membership website builder: If you want to activate a growing online community, the Dorik website builder allows you to create a collaborative space where people can create accounts, communicate, and access exclusive content. Plus, you can add paywalls.
- Dorik SEO: Built-in SEO features throughout the Dorik portfolio allow companies to create responsive sites, optimize images, automatically generate sitemaps, and create custom schema. There’s even a global CDN for ultra-fast content loading.
- Airtable elements: A direct integration with Airtable means companies can take advantage of all of their existing data in their website. You can create job boards, detail pages, and listing directories. Plus, there are multiple layouts to choose from.
Ease of Use
Let’s start with probably the most important thing worth mentioning in this review: the user friendliness of the Dorik platform.
Like many of the top no code website builders, Dorik is perfect for beginners in the online world. You can design a Dorik website from scratch, import JSON files, or choose from a variety of more than 80 pre-built templates (all mobile responsive).
One point worth noting is once you choose a template, you can’t switch to something new. However, you can import and export HTML/CSS and JS code. Once you choose your website template, you’ll be taken to a straightforward drag-and-drop page editor, where you can make changes in seconds.
You can jump through pages with a click, edit segments in seconds, and adjust site settings and performance. You’ll also have hundreds of UI blocks to choose from, such as text blocks, image galleries, social media icons, and more.
Dorik even makes it extremely easy to add pages to your site, write meta data, see how your site will render in different display sizes, and alter brand elements. There’s also a basic image editor included in the platform which allows you to adjust the size, alignment, and layout of images.
Notably, there’s nothing particularly new or world-changing about Dorik’s website builder, but if you’re looking for something simple and straightforward, it’s definitely a good pick.
Dorik Blogs, SEO, and Membership Sites
There are a few things that Dorik’s website builder does better than anything else. If you’re looking for a high-octane enterprise ecommerce platform, this probably isn’t it (although there are ecommerce features). However, if you’re building a blog, portfolio, or membership site, Dorik is a great choice.
The blogging functionality, like the website builder itself, is very easy to use. It feels a lot like the CMS you’d get from a competitor like WordPress, with a straightforward interface where you can insert and edit content. You can also add images, quotes, links, and code in a few clicks.
There are options for easily categorizing all of your blog posts, creating social media cards, and even adding valuable author bios to improve your EEAT score. Plus, you can set permissions for who can read certain blog posts, and monetize blogs with paywalls.
For SEO, Dorik doesn’t come with any particularly advanced AI-powered features, but it does give you complete control over your:
- Meta title and description
- No Follow and No Index options
- Keywords
- Canonical URLs
- HREF languages
- Schema
Plus, you can access a global CDN to deliver content to customers faster, and use an automatic site map generator to introduce information to Google and other search engines. The great thing about Dorik is that it allows you to SEO optimize every page, not just your blog posts.
For membership sites, you can not only add paywalls to content and categories, but you can also create customized login and signup portals for your customers. Dorik even allows you to import existing subscribers from Ghost, Substack, WordPress, and Medium with a couple of clicks.
Plus, your earnings are collected through Stripe, and you pay no commission to Dorik. You can set monthly, yearly, or one-time premium plans, and even add your own webhooks to stay up-to-date on events, like when a visitor subscribes to your platform.
Ecommerce Options: What Can You Sell?
Ultimately, Dorik probably isn’t the platform for you if you’re building a comprehensive ecommerce site. The platform really only allows you to sell digital subscriptions, memberships, and access to exclusive content. There aren’t any real “ecommerce” functions available.
For instance, you can’t really create comprehensive product pages, or manage inventory and orders on the back end of your site. Additionally, you can only accept payments through a Stripe button if you subscribe to the most expensive Dorik plan.
While you can technically sell products, you’re not going to have all the core features you need to run an effective business, such as shipping tracking. You’re going to need something more advanced, like Shopify. That being said, Dorik is pretty good for service-focused businesses and agencies.
The White-label CMS solution allows you to apply agency branding to all of your pages, create collections and databases, and even collaborate with team members when using all of the site’s features. If you want to make an income selling membership sites and blogs to other companies, this could be a good option.
Pricing Plans: How Much Does it Cost?
While Dorik might not offer particularly world-changing features, it does set itself apart from other solutions in the market today, by offering a completely free tier.
You can use the free plan to create 5 static pages, 2 collections, 20 collection items, and 20 blog posts. Plus, you also get accounts for 2 collaborators. Plus, there’s a built in SSL certificate.
If you’re looking for something more advanced, Dorik’s paid plans are pretty cheap too:
- Personal: $3.29 per month: 1 custom domain, 3,000 members, 25 pages, 200 blog posts, unlimited bandwidth and storage, custom collections and fields, and membership options.
- Business: $8.29 per month: 3-10 custom domains, 10,000 members, unlimited pages, and blog posts, 10 collaborators, white labelled dashboards and all the features of Personal.
- Agency: $29.13 per month: 25-250 custom domains, unlimited pages and collaborators, client billing, agency branding, white label documentation and all the features of the Business plan.
All plans come with a 14-day refund policy, and you don’t need to enter any credit card details to try out the free plan.
Customer Service and Support
One thing we were really impressed by when experimenting with Dorik, is it’s approach to keeping customers happy. First, it offers a fantastic uptime percentage, ensuring all of your websites and tools stay up and running at all times.
Secondly, if you have any issues with your website building or development process, Dorik is ready to help. The company has some great forums where you can discuss topics with other experts, as well as useful FAQ pages. Plus, you can connect with the team directly through 24/7 chat support.
Integrations
Finally, there are a few things to mention about Dorik’s approach to integrations. First, the platform benefits from a direct integration with Airtable, allowing you to add all of your data into your website with layouts and customization features.
The Airtable elements in Dorik can be used for anything from building tables and grids, to job boards and directory pages.
All you need to do is take your API key from Airtable and paste it into Dorik to get started. You can use filters to search through the data you need, and sort your data however you choose.
Outside of Airtable, Dorik also integrates with a handful of other useful tools, such as Make, Crisp, Gumroad, WhatsApp for customer service, and Social Feed.
You can also connect to tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager or Sales Console, Zoho SalesIQ, HotJar, Convert Kit, and MailChimp. The options are practically endless.
Is Dorik Worth It? The Final Verdict
So, is Dorik genuinely worthwhile? If you’re looking for an easy-to-use solution for building a blog, website, or membership site, then the answer is probably yes. It’s a convenient platform with tons of embedded tools that don’t require any coding knowledge.
The free plan is a little basic, but the same could be said for most website builders with free options. However, if you want more comprehensive features for things like ecommerce, it’s worth looking at alternatives like Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify.
